Selfridge

The destroyer Selfridge was laid down at the New York S. B. Corporation yard on 18 December 1933 and completed on 26 October 1936. She displaced 1,850 tons and was 381 feet long overall and just over 36 feet in the beam. She carried six 5-inch, 38 caliber and six Bofors 40mm guns. She had eight 21-inch torpedo tubes. On 7 December she was moored alongside Case off McGrew Point.
