"Kenworthy, Commander Jesse L. "

The battleship Oklahoma, moored at the southern end of Battleship Row alongside Maryland, was under the command of her executive officer Jesse Kenworthy. After the ship was torpedoed she swiftly developed a list and Kenworthy was quick to see that she was going to capsize. He ordered the ship to be abandoned by the starboard side and about 150 men obeyed, crawling onto the upturned hull.
