Hawaiian Army Air Force

Reporting to Lieutenant-General Walter C. Short (Short, Walter C.) and in command of the Army Air Force was Major-General Frederick L. Martin. He had 18th Bombardment Wing and 14th Pursuit Wing under his command as well as the three army airfields, Hickam Field under Colonel W. E. Farthing (Farthing, W. E.), Wheeler Field under Colonel W. J. Flood (Flood, W. J.) and Bellows Field Air Base under Lieutenant-Colonel L. D. Weddington (Weddington, L. D.).
