Covington, Fred
Ensign Covington and Lieutenant Malcolm Reeves were the pilots of the search aircraft flown by the cruiser Northampton at 1115 on 7 December in search of the Japanese First Air Fleet. They encountered enemy aircraft but, as they had been ordered to keep radio silence, did not report until they landed at 1517.
